Auction 2026-015 – Triphyophyllum peltatum

Product information "Auction 2026-015 – Triphyophyllum peltatum"

You are bidding on the plant shown in Figure 1.
The plant is in excellent health and already measures more than 40 cm in diameter!
Triphyophyllum peltatum is one of the least well-known carnivorous plants and, apart from a few botanical gardens, is practically never grown in cultivation.
This tropical liana from West Africa is characterised by the fact that it only occasionally produces leaves that trap and digest insects. These trap leaves are reminiscent of Drosera, Byblis or Drosophyllum.
In cultivation, the formation of trap leaves can be triggered by a phosphate deficiency.
An absolutely fascinating plant!!!
Please note!
I have little experience regarding the sensitivity of the roots. For dispatch to non-EU countries, the roots must be thoroughly cleared of growing medium. I cannot guarantee that the plant will not suffer as a result. I therefore strongly recommend this auction only for bids from within the EU.
Bids from non-EU countries are at your own risk – for the reasons stated above, I cannot guarantee that the plant will arrive in good condition in such cases!
