Absolutely spectacular Heliamphora with a play of colors ranging from pink, white, red, and green.
While the nectar spoons appear in their typical red, the pitchers are mostly white-green spotted and decorated with a pink edge depending on the incidence of light.
Unfortunately, cultivation is quite demanding. Heliamphora “Flamingo” is definitely not a plant for beginners!
Important Notice Regarding Heliamphora “Flamingo”
Last year, this plant was offered exclusively within the European Union, as repeated issues occurred with overseas shipments, resulting in H. “Flamingo” plants arriving deceased. Despite clear prior notice that overseas orders were placed entirely at the customer’s own risk, refund requests were made.
In such cases, a refund does not only result in the loss of payment for the plant itself, but also in additional costs incurred by us, including mandatory documentation, shipping expenses (not fully covered by the customer), and employee labor.
As we continue to receive a high number of inquiries regarding this plant and demand outside the EU remains strong, we have decided to make another attempt at offering H. “Flamingo” for overseas shipping this year. For all overseas orders, photo documentation of the plant’s vitality will now be created during the packing process. This measure is intended to provide clear evidence of the plant’s condition at the time of shipment and to prevent future disputes regarding its state upon dispatch.
Please note once again that H. “Flamingo” is an extremely sensitive plant and deteriorates quickly. Overseas shipments are therefore made entirely at the customer’s own risk. If we are unable to offer this plant strictly under these conditions and would be required to bear the costs in the event of loss, our only alternative would be to restrict sales to the EU once again.
We sincerely regret that this approach is necessary and therefore wish to communicate this warning as clearly and transparently as possible.
