A Myrmecodia species from the border region with Papua New Guinea from the lowlands in southeastern Irian Jaya.
The two articles Myrmecodia spec. Bupul A and M. spec. Bupul B belong to the same species, but differ slightly in their spination.
They are probably related to Myrmecodia Platytyrea, but have brown leaf stalks.
