This is probably a species from the Myrmecodia horrida complex.
In contrast to the other Myrmecodia species, the M- horrida complex is characterised by ant canals not only in the caudex but also in the shoot.

The shoot of the plants is very spiny. Similar to M. ferox, another species in the complex, the clypeoli are missing. The white leaf stalks are also striking.
