Product information "Nepenthes boschiana (Sakumbong)"
Nepenthes boschiana is an increasingly popular pitcher plant in the hobby. It shows very dark, large and elegant lower pitchers, coupled with an extraordinary vigour.
In the wild the species is only found in South Kalimantan at 1200-1800 m.a.s.l..
It is closely related to N. faizaliana.
The dark, mottled lower pitchers show a tubular pitcher with a prominent, thickened base. The broad peristome is dark reddish to deep black.
Upper pitchers of this species, on the other hand, are lighter in color, slimmer, more funnel-shaped, and have an intensely striped peristome, but may retain the darker coloration.
Absolutely beautiful species that should not be missing in any stock if you have room for the vigorous, larger plants.
