Nepenthes boschiana x adrianii combines two species, with bright red, shiny peristome, which often subsequently turns to a dark red-purple in N. boschiana. This hybrid opens its pitchers with a broad, bright red peristome, which then folds back and darkens. The corrugation of the pitchers of N. adrianii is still clearly visible in the hybrid.
The body of the pitcher looks very similar to that of N. boschiana.
