Product information "Nepenthes burkei (Mt. Halcon, Mindoro)"
Nepenthes burkei is/was often confused with Nepenthes ventricosa with which it is also very closely related. Nepenthes burkei has a more angulated peristome, a less pronounced pitcher hip and is usually much more contrasting in coloration.
N. burkei usually displays a green body with red spots, saturated red and serrated peristome, green lid, and a squat, broad pitcher. The species is native to the highlands but is very hardy and tolerates a wide range of conditions.
The species is found terrestrially or epiphytically in the area of Mindoro, an island of the Philippines.
