Another pretty, typical representative of this species from the Gunung Singgalang in Sumatra.
Especially striking with Nepenthes gymnamphora is the unusual growth behaviour. As with Nepenthes ampullaria many pitchers are formed simultaneously directly on the ground on very short leaves. Apparently this is also the origin of the epithet "gymnamphora", which means "naked pitchers", as it can look like they are emerging directly from the ground.
Interesting species from 600-2800 m.a.s.l. in Java and Sumatra from a variety of habitats.
