Product information "Nepenthes gymnamphora (Gunung Talamau)"
Pretty little red form of this species. Nepenthes gymnamphora is found at 600-2800 m.a.s.l. in Java and Sumatra. This form originates from Gunung Talamau in Sumatra.
The pitchers of N. gymnamphora are usually numerous on one plant. The shape can be described as bulbous-funnel-shaped, the peristome red or orange. Strikingly, N. gymnamphora, like N. ampullaria, forms many lower pitchers side by side directly on the soil, usually on very small leaves.
The epithet "gymnamphora" means something like "nacked/bare pitchers".
Pretty little species with an interesting growth habit.
