A sensational hybrid combining two morphologically similar species! The yellow upper pitchers of N. jamban and N. flava look almost identical, with the difference that N. jamban has a flatter peristome.
Nepenthes flava has a more serrated peristome than N. jamban. What comes out of this cross can be seen at least already in the lower pitchers. The red lower pitchers of both species make for a red lower in the hybrid as well, but it is much more serrated than jamban and changes from the typical toilet shape to a funnel shape, similar to N. tenuis upper pitchers. Truly an impressive hybrid!
