Product information "Nepenthes murudensis (Gunung Murud, Borneo)"
Very pretty species, where a hybridogenic origin from N. reinwardtiana and N. tentaculata was suspected. Nepenthes murudensis is endemic to Mt. Murud, where the species is found at 2000-2423 m.a.s.l.. No natural hybrids are known. The pitchers are very variable in colour and show a striking change from ground to high pitches. The lower pitchers are mostly dark, spotted and with striped peristome. The upper pitchers are slender, long and red to green.
Very pretty, simple species, which is much too seldom cultivated.
