The typical Nepenthes tentaculata form with filiform appendages is seen here.
Originating from the Middle Highlands to highlands, this species prefers cooler temperatures. In its range it often grows on sphagnum patches or in sparse vegetation, where it is not very choosy about location.
The species has one of the largest distributions of any highland Nepenthes. While many highlanders only occur on a few mountains, N. tentaculata is found on almost every mountain within its range.
