One of the prettiest Borneo species of the genus Nepenthes. There the plant grows on 1200-1500 m.a.s.l. as an epiphyte.
Already the intensely marked, slender lower pitchers with almost black and white markings and the raised peristome are enough to delight, but the upper pitcher are what really make this species.
As soon as N. vogelii goes into vining stage, it begins to form slender, wineglass-shaped pitchers that widen greatly from a very slender base. The peristome also shows spectacular coloration.
Beautiful, filigree species whose pitchers immediately catch the eye.
